It’s easy. Until you try it.
For years, I’ve used a writing exercise to help students
focus and refine their efforts. The ability to write reflects the thought
processes of the writer, so what better way to let your brain shine through
than by composing a carefully sculpted essay, consisting precisely of 100
words?
Precisely.
Write about anything, but write something that leaves no
questions or doubts. The finished product should be a stand-alone effort which
completely tells the story.
One hundred words. Autonomous and inclusive. Don’t just hit
the highlights, but tell the complete story.
Sounds easy, doesn’t it?
