Scoreboard

I don’t get the whole score keeping thing.

I can’t understand why anyone would want to measure the quality of their life against the success/failure of others. It seems to do so, is to allow someone else to control the motivation and worth of our life.

Everything we acquire when alive—money, possessions, land and prestige, are left behind when we die. They are of no use to us when we leave. I guess the big question is, why struggle to beat everyone else at the game, when, in the end, we all step across the finish line the same?

I don’t remember how much money my friends had, or if they won more than they lost.

I do remember their friendship, love and commitment to good.
